Stan Galli
Landscapist
and wildlife illustrator, started his art career early in life. He had already
received a two-year scholarship to the California School of Fine Art by age
twelve. Galli was raised in California but also spent time in Nevada while
growing up. In his work, he depicted scenes of California and realistic
wildlife illustrations. Many of his illustrations appeared in publications such
as; "Country Gentlemen," "Sports Afield," "Reader's Digest," "True," "Saturday
Evening Post" and "McCalls." His designs for twenty-six postage stamps were
among the most popular for the years he created them for the United States Post
Office. Galli resides in Kentfield, California and has also been known to spend
time in his studio in Tuscany, Italy.
